Our next Sack Lunch Sunday will be March 14. Bring your lunch and stay after Gathered Worship to get to know people and generally make merry. Please invite friends family and everyone you meet. Don’t worry if you forget your lunch, please stay anyways, we’ll have something for you!
Peoria Neighborhood Pride Ministry Opportunity

We have a great opportunity to serve our community of Peoria on Saturday, March 6th, from 7:00 am-12:00pm. We have been asked by the Planning and Community Development Department of the City of Peoria to help with their “Neighborhood Pride” program; a program intended to assist community members with neighborhood beautification—landscaping, painting, building, repair, etc.
This service opportunity will take place in the community around Beryl Street, west of 71st Avenue (Beryl is 4 blocks south of Peoria Avenue off of 71st Avenue). Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout our service. Additionally, they welcome our children to be a part of this service! Kids are welcome!
The city plans on having 13 residences needing service in this area, so the more people to serve the better.
If you are interested in serving with this event, please contact Wade Myers to let him know that you would be willing to assist.
May we continue to further God’s mission throughout our community!
Location: Beryl Street, west of 71st Avenue - Beryl is 4 block south of Peoria Avenue off of 71st Avenue
Time: We would like to have the volunteers there and ready to start by 7:00 a.m.
Parking: There is a park just south of Ira A. Murphy Elementary School which is located on North Ave and 72nd Ave. Beryl Avenue is just to the east and south of the school. There is parking along 72nd Avenue and also in the parking lot of the park which is on the corner of Cheryl Dr. and 73rd Avenue.
Misc. Information: All materials are supplied. Light refreshments and a Neighborhood Pride T-Shirt is provided as a thank you for your generous donation of time.

Hello Church of the Cross Family!
God has put it in my heart to take a bold and loving step of going out and sharing Jesus with people! Jesus says that He is the Bread of Life hence, the title, Spread the Bread Sunday! Feel free to join us on Sunday Febuary 21st after gathered worship for a lunch together. After lunch we’ll descuss the logistics, then go! In short, we will pair up and go start spiritual conversations with people. There are many ways to do this! This will be an awsome step to see God work through us and in us as we go and share the good news with people who are hungry for it!
When: Sunday, Febuary 21st
Sharing location: WESTGATE!!
Time: Lunch after Worship Service 12:00pm-1:00ish Sharing Time: 1:30pm-3:00pm
Again, we will meet after worship for quick lunch where we’ll discuss the details and get pumped! After, we’ll drive to Westgate and do it! We can car pool too! Come and join us in Spread the Living Bread!!!!!
